Police search for a Fort Lauderdale Rapist, offering a $3000 reward.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – A Fort Lauderdale Rapist is on the loose as police release a sketch of the suspect, offering a $3000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.

Police were handing out flyers of the suspect Tuesday morning in an attempt to get any information on the identity of a man who rapped a woman right on the lawn of an apartment complex.

Police said the woman was walking near the 2600 block of Middle River Drive. The incident occured around 1:30am.

The woman was approached by a man, when the man tackled her to the ground on the front lawn of an apartment complex. The man then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim was taken by officers to the Nancy J. Cotterman Sexual Assault Treatment Center for an examination.

The Fort Lauderdale rapist was discribed by the woman as a white man, early 40’s, 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a larger build.

He has a tattoo on the lower right leg, possibly oriental.

Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call Detective Yvette Martinez at 954-828-5784 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
