Shocking Fort Lauderdale UFO Sighting: Flight Crew Left in Disbelief

A Fort Lauderdale UFO sighting has left a flight crew shaken after they witnessed a glowing, fast-moving object high above the Bahamas. The mysterious encounter, which took place on December 23, 2024, lasted an astonishing 45 minutes, raising new questions about unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) in South Florida’s airspace.
A Terrifying Encounter at 45,000 Feet
It started as an ordinary flight—an empty Surjet jet making its way back to Fort Lauderdale, cruising at 45,000 feet. Then, out of nowhere, Miami air traffic control sent an urgent message:
“We have a foreign object. Can you identify?”
Flight attendant Cassandra Martin turned to look out the window. What she saw left her frozen.
A glowing orb was flying beside the plane, shifting from white to green with an eerie electric glow surrounding it. The pilots quickly realized it wasn’t just one object—there were three of them.
“It stayed with us for about 45 minutes,” Martin recalled. “It was way above us, darting side to side, zigzagging in ways no plane should be able to.”
What Did the Flight Crew See?
At an altitude of 45,000 feet, commercial drones are out of the question, and the erratic movement ruled out a weather balloon. The Fort Lauderdale UFO sighting was unlike anything the pilots had ever encountered.
“It moved in a way that didn’t make sense,” Martin said. “It had an energy field around it, and then it just disappeared.”
Eerie Similarities to Military UFO Sightings
The Pentagon has acknowledged that similar unidentified aerial objects have been spotted by military pilots in recent years.
Defense expert Bryan Bender, who has reviewed multiple U.S. military UFO cases, analyzed the footage Martin captured and found striking similarities to the infamous Tic Tac UFO incident recorded by Navy pilots in 2004.
“These orbs—sometimes called ‘Tic Tacs’—move in ways that defy our understanding of aerodynamics,” Bender explained. “They accelerate at impossible speeds, hover without visible propulsion, and turn instantly, which suggests advanced technology beyond anything we currently know.”
Could the Fort Lauderdale UFO sighting be related to these past encounters?
Fort Lauderdale UFO Sightings: A Growing Phenomenon
This sighting isn’t an isolated event. South Florida has long been a hotspot for unexplained aerial encounters.
- 2004 USS Nimitz Tic Tac UFO – U.S. Navy pilots encountered a smooth, white, fast-moving object that disappeared within seconds.
- 2019 Atlantic Coast Sightings – Military pilots reported seeing bright, fast-moving spheres off the Florida coast.
- Bermuda Triangle Mysteries – The Bahamas sit at the edge of the Bermuda Triangle, an area known for disappearances, radar interference, and unexplained aircraft malfunctions.
Are UFOs a Threat to Aviation?
The Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) is actively investigating UAPs due to their potential national security risks.
The biggest concern? These objects are flying at extreme altitudes and speeds, near commercial and military airspace, with no clear origin.
Pilots are now urged to report UFO encounters, as unexplained objects pose a real danger to aviation safety.
“It Was Unbelievable”
For Martin, the sighting was thrilling and terrifying at the same time.
“It was eerie because we were so high up, but this thing was even higher. The way it moved—zigzagging, glowing, vanishing—it just didn’t make sense.”
As reports of Fort Lauderdale UFO sightings continue to increase, the question remains:
What’s really flying in our skies?
