Fort Lauderdale, Florida- Bars across Broward County are still shut down amid the Covid-19 pandemic. At least 22 bars across the county have sued, claiming its not fair that other businesses are allowed to remain open, and they have to remain closed.

These legal battles took a favorable in Broward Counties favor, with Broward’s attorney telling commissioners that a judge denied a temporary injunction pursued by those bars. 

When asked why the bars were to remain closed, this was the answer received…

“The science tells us that that is a place that has a large propensity for spreading the virus,”

A meeting with all of the city mayors in Broward County to talk COVID-19 is expected again Friday. One topic that they plan to discuss is schools.
