South Florida’s barbecue scene is about to get even better. Fat Boyz Barbecue, known for its smoky flavors and hearty portions, is bringing a new location to Downtown Fort Lauderdale at 706 South Federal Highway. This marks the fourth expansion for the brand, which already serves up its signature barbecue in Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Coral Springs.
The restaurant shared the news on Instagram, thanking its loyal customers for making the expansion possible.
“We’ve been doubted before, but thanks to you, our supporters, we’ve grown into the only multi-location BBQ brand from South Florida to Orlando!”
Fat Boyz has made a name for itself with slow-smoked St. Louis-style spare ribs, Texas-style brisket, house-smoked pastrami, and the popular Big Daddy sandwich—a loaded combination of pulled pork, chopped brisket, and mac ‘n’ cheese piled onto a Kaiser roll.
An official opening date for the new location hasn’t been announced yet. What Now reached out to owner Jarael Holston-Jones for details, but he was unavailable for comment at the time of inquiry.
