Coyote attack in Miramar caught on camera

Residents of Miramar, Florida, are on high alert after surveillance footage captured coyotes attacking ducks in residential backyards. Lisa Bowman, a resident of the Silvershores community, discovered feathers in her yard and, upon reviewing her security cameras, witnessed the coyote attacks. In response, she now carries a whistle and a bat during dog walks to protect her pets. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission notes that while coyote attacks on humans are rare, these animals are present in all Florida counties and are more active during their mating season from January through March. Officials advise residents to remain vigilant and avoid leaving food outside to deter coyotes from approaching homes.
