Churn and Scoop Ice Cream is now open in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Fort Lauderdale – A new ice cream shop name Churn and Scoop has opened in Fort Lauderdale, and will not be confused with any other ice cream that you have tried in the city.

Churn and Scoop features their luxurious butterfat content and bold colors – you may wonder if Mondrian arranged the store’s refrigerated display case for his Instagram – the dozen offerings include a corn-based ice cream, a vegan ice cream flavored with Filipino potato, purple called ube, and another that combines a large strawberry jam and ribbons of balsamic vinaigrette.

Churn & Scoop owner Matthew Kronfeld, a father of 4-year-old twins who lives a few blocks from the Federal Highway shop, is an unflappable ice cream freak whose head is overflowing with frozen dessert ideas that shun the real thing.

“There’s nothing like it in the area, artisanal ice cream with these kinds of ingredients, made right here,” said Kronfeld.

To collaborate and consult on his new tastes, Kronfeld hired Daniel Negron, former executive pastry chef at the Wynwood Dasher & Crank ice cream sanctuary. Negron, whose resume includes periods at Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach and The Dalmar hotel, recently joined the Novikov Miami restaurant.
