Teen brothers charged with beating LGBTQ teen

Fort Lauderdale – Two teen brothers charged with beating LGBTQ teen, appeared virtually in a Broward County Court. Jerrell and Druax Madison are facing charges in the brutal beating of a LGBTQ teen Chad Standford in Pompano Beach.

According to reports, its the second time that Standford had changed schools due to teasing and bullying. Last year Chad Standford made headlines in Deerfield Beach as a social media post of him being slammed to the ground for being gay went viral. It was shared millions of times.

If charged of a hate crime the two boys, Jerrell and Druax Madison could face up to 5 years in prision.

In the most recent attack, Sanford received an invitation to hang out with a group of young people thought to be friends.

Sanford’s grandmother, who asked for her identity to be protected, said the past year hasn’t been easy.
