Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Monday Brightline Train Services along with Walt Disney World, announced it plans to add high speed service between Fort Lauderdale and Disney World.
Brightline Train, is a high speed train operating in South Florida. It is partially owned by Richard Branson and Virgin. Brightline has had a good history of safety in the past few years, being named one of the most dangerous train lines per mile in the United States.
In an effect to transform the way that Floridians travel, the train already has stops in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and a planned stop at the Orlando airport scheduled for 2022.
The timeline for the Disney station has yet to be announced.
“Brightline will offer a car-free connection to the millions of visitors from around the state and the world who plan to make Walt Disney World Resort part of their vacation plans,” Brightline’s president Patrick Goddard said in a statement. “Our mission has always been to connect our guests to the people and places that matter, and Walt Disney World Resort is a tremendous example of this.”
