Fort Lauderdale, Florida – The 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show has been approved to continue this year amidst concerns about the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The International Boat Show event, which drew more than 100,000 people last year, was still uncertain last month as Covid-19 cases continued to rise. This week Broward announced that it would move forward with Phase 2 Reoopenings, and the Boat Show got the okay to proceed.

The show will be allowed with new safety rules, which will be overseen by the counties administrator, Bertha Henry. Henry will keep a close eye and make tweaks to the Coronavirus safety plan which will allow more than 900 exhibitors to show more than 1,300 boats at the show.

The main show will be at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Organizers plan to have 14 entrances and will also have increased ventilation and markings to help attendees social distance.

The show will run from Oct. 28th – Nov. 1st.
